Todd surprised me at my parent's house on Christmas Eve and asked me to marry him! Here is the story, Todd told me that he had to work Christmas Eve and would be getting to my parents house around 10pm or 11pm that night. He said he would have to miss the Christmas Eve church service. Well, while I was in my room getting ready for the 6:00pm Christmas Eve service, Todd arrived at my parent's house without me knowing. While in my room I started to hear someone playing the guitar and singing in the living room (my room opens up into the living room) so I thought who is that? I walked out into the living room and saw Todd sitting in front of the Christmas tree singing and playing the guitar. When he finished singing, he shared with me the joy and fun he has had dating me, his journey with the Lord in coming to this point in our relationship, and the verse Matthew 13:46. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes! He video taped the whole thing! After he proposed my family had cake (my sister made the cake) and presents to help celebrate our engagement! Then we all headed to the Christmas Eve service! It was a wonderful Christmas Eve!
