Fun cousin memories!

Todd and I knew we wanted a strong name with spiritual significance for our child. When we found out we were pregnant we started the baby name search. We had a girl name early on, but the boy name was harder for us. It was about a month before my due date that we came across the name Caedmon. The name Caedmon means "Wise Warrior". In life there will be many battles, decisions, and boundaries for which he, as a man, will need to be wise and strong. First as the eldest child of our family and a future Godly husband and father to his own family. We also were blessed by reading "Caedmon's Hymn" which is a poem/hymn glorifying and honoring God our creator. Our son's middle name is in honor of my pop-pop Klaassen (Jacob Klaassen) who was such a wonderful Godly man I so loved. We wanted our son to have the gift of both our families Godly heritage in his name.

"Listen to me, you islands;

Before I was born the Lord called me;

from my mother's womb he has spoken my name.

He made my mouth like a sharpened sword,

in the shadow of his hand he hid me;

he made me into a polished arrow
