Our Wedding Shower

This past weekend Todd and I had a wedding shower at my sister's home. It was so thoughtful of my sister Callie to host the shower at her home. Todd and I were so blessed to have family and friends plan a wonderful wedding shower to celebrate us. The details were amazing! We enjoyed a night of fun with food, cake, fire pit, s'mores and friends.

The beautifully decorated table.

The yummy and amazing looking cake!

We were so blessed to have so many of our friends come celebrate with us.

My younger sister Baylie and her boyfriend drove from out of town to celebrate with us. Thank you guys!

My two bridesmaids drove from out of town to share in the joy and celebration. Thank you girls!

We were able to share our love story and how the Lord brought us together!

The Church!

We are getting married at Tyler Presbyterian Church in Tyler, TX. It is the church my parents have been attending for several years. More than just a beautiful exterior we feel like it is a place we can truly come to worship God. This is also the church we attended on Christmas Eve after Todd proposed. We are so excited to get married in this church! We pray that it will be a day of worship to our God for being forever faithful to us.

The address is:
4554 Farm to Market 2813
Flint, Texas 75762

For a map and directions to the church click here.

We will hand out directions and a map to the reception site at the wedding ceremony. The wedding reception will be at Lake Tyler Petroleum Club.

Engagement Pictures!

Todd and I took our engagement pictures about a month ago. We had a lot of fun! We took some pictures at my parent's house, the church and in a field.

Here are just a few we took at my parents house!

The Gift of Grace

Please meet our precious flower girl, Caitlyn Grace!

Caitlyn has the cutest personality and a gift of Grace to her family.
About eight years ago my family met a family with a sweet baby girl named, Corley. Corley became very ill and spent almost the next two years in a hospital. Our family walked with this family through such a difficult time until God gave healing to Corley in His arms in Heaven. My mom, sisters and I shopped for the most beautiful dress to honor this very special little girl and the lessons her short life taught us. Corley wore this dress as we gathered at her funeral to celebrate her life and loving her.

Corely

In God's grace He redeemed, restored and gave Corley's family a second daughter and sister, Caitlyn Grace. A few weeks ago my mom and I went shopping at many of the same stores we did for Corley only now it was for Caitlyn's flower girl dress. What a mix of emotions all ending with gratefulness to God of His faithful gift of grace... and a beautiful smocked dress for Caitlyn to feel pretty in.

It's exciting to have Corley's little sister be our flower girl for our lives are a story of God's redeeming and restoring grace. I think I'll have mixed tears of joy watching Caitlyn walk down the isle with flowers and envisioning Corley picking flowers with Jesus.

It's wonderful to think that someday these two sisters will be having a tea party in a garden of flowers sharing lots of giggles and the love of Jesus. I hope my sisters and I get the table next to them so we can share in the giggles and loving Jesus too!

A Bit of Fun!

I heard Todd before I noticed Todd. We were celebrating his and mutual friend's birthday when I heard this guy's comical responses, quick witted remarks and subtle jokes...this guy was Todd!

I had been praying that laughter to be a big part of the rest of my life and that my biblical husband would have a great sense of humor while living in joy through his faith....that's my Todd!

So in celebrating the laughter and fun of our relationship we decided that it would be fun for the ring bearers to wear converse sneakers with their bow ties!!

Now when I look at my wedding heels and then at the converse sneakers....my feet say " go for it"...hum!

Here they are...

The two cutest ring bearers ever!!

Pierson

Can you just see these two sweet faces walking down the isle… they will totally steal the show! But what make these two precious little boys so special to me is the mommies that love them. These two mommies have blessed my life with an amazing Christ centered friendship. So while everyone is watching these two cuties walk down the isle I am going to sneak a peek at the faces of these two mommies. They both will be beaming with love, pride and delight at their sons and that will be one of the sweetest wedding gifts for me. I love you Kate and Kelly!!

This is a picture of the cute card that Pierson sent to me in the mail!

So if you hear of a wedding with the cutest ring bearers ever, but they can't remember who the groom and bride where..it was Todd and I.
