The finishing touches...

The finishing touches of the nursery are in place! Since we waited until the birth to find out what we were having, I didn't complete the personal touches to the nursery until after we had our sweet baby boy!
I added his initials in wood letters above the changing table.

To the shelves I add his birth keepsake shadow box, gingham blue smocked pillow, and fun wood toy trucks.

His birth keepsake shadow box includes pictures, his footprints and his going home outfit.

I made and hung his birth canvas that has all the information like date, time, weight, and height. I also framed his hand and foot prints.

His cute little blue hippo chair! (early birthday present from Lolli and Pop)

A peek through our window...

If you were to peek through our window... you would see sweet cousins reading books, playing with every toy, laughing and making memories!

Goodnight..beach, lake, VA & Nantucket

Last summer when we were in Nantucket (& I was pregnant), we came across the children's book Good Night Nantucket. We picked it up as a souvenir for Lil' One. Later we found that it is part of a cute series of Good Night World. The series has several books of different places, cities, and states. Each book is about a fun filled day of things to see and do at the specific place. As a fun memory and souvenir I'm going to collect the books of the places we visit for Lil' Guy to keep!

VA trip

We had a wonderful trip to VA. We enjoyed visiting Todd's family and friends.

Our little family visited a few sight seeing spots...Blue Ridge Mountains. Unfortunately, the day we went it was overcast and cloudy. But I was determined to take pictures... so we have pictures with overcast/clouds and no mountains... I promise there are mountains behind the overcast/clouds.

We went to Historic Downtown Charlottesville. We enjoyed shopping in the cute little shops and   eating a yummy lunch at a restaurant that served organic/locally grown food.

We drove around Liberty University (where Todd went to college and where his dad is a professor).

We also visited Poplar Forest which is Thomas Jefferson's summer home. It is a beautiful home and scenery. I love this picture of our Lil' Guy there!
