Sundays!

Todd and I love Sundays! It is the only day we both have off from work. We love to spend the day together! We have been having some fun working on a few things around the house.
We painted the study/man room. We love the color!

Making some progress:

Todd's painting job! He always makes every job fun! T loves B!

Finished: Once it is the study/man room the theme is fly fishing. (Todd loves to fly fish) I still need to make some pillows for the futon. Hopefully, I'm going to find some fly fishing fabric to make the pillows out of. Todd also has to catch a fish for me to mount on the wall.

We have also been doing some yard work. I have planted some flowers in my hanging baskets.

Todd has been working hard on the backyard. He has added some mulch to the monkey grass and some sod where some grass had died. Our backyard is looking so nice.

What an Accomplishment!

I am so proud of my brother Canaan's accomplishment to make it to the Senior League World Series. What an honor! He has had such an incredible and once in a lifetime week!

He represented his country and team by holding the American flag and leading his team to the field for the Senior League World Series Opening Ceremony!

He gave out his autograph to the kids that were watching the games this week!

He was interviewed by Jamie Moyer from ESPN!

He was honored at the SLWS award banquet with a pin and medal!

The SLWS Championship game was televised on ESPNU. The championship game against Hawaii was not the greatest. Hawaii was the first team they lost to. Tyler Rose Capital East season record was 15-1. What an accomplishment!  It is an honor to be the 2nd best baseball team and to be one of the top baseball players in the WORLD!

He was on ESPNU! He is the last player on the right side of this picture. (It is blurry b/c it is a picture taken of the tv)

Championship Game Here We Come!

They won against Aruba 10-5! My brother's baseball team is headed to the Senior League World Series Championship Game this Saturday at 1pm watch the game live on ESPNU or at www.espn3.com. Watch and cheer them on!
My brother headed to the mound! So proud of him!

Semifinals Senior League World Series!

That's right my brother's team has been undefeated (4-0) this week at the SLWS!  They are headed to the Semifinal game this Friday! Way to go Rose Capital East! They have to win against Aruba tomorrow at 10am to play in the championship game on Saturday! Here is a picture of my brother pitching! I'm so proud of his hard work and dedication! The Lord has blessed his hard work. We would love your prayers!

Listen Live!

The Senior Little League World Series is in full swing in Bangor, Maine!
Today at 5:30pm my brother's team plays their first game against Italy. You can listen live to the games they will play this week at www.rosecapitaleast.com, follow the link to the live audio. The only game televised on ESPN is the World Series Championship game, hopefully our boys will play in that game!

Our Little Getaway!

Here are a few pictures from our little getaway this past weekend. We stayed in Seguin, TX where my brother was playing baseball. There is not much in Seguin, but it is just 20 minutes away from New Braunfels and San Marcos Outlet stores. So we did a little shopping at one of my favorite stores.
We found the perfect rug for our study.
I always love to find a good buy. The Pottery Barn Outlet store is also a Williams Sonoma outlet store. It is always a great place to shop for furniture, decorations, kitchen items and more!

Saturday and Sunday night we watched my brother pitch and win the baseball games! We enjoyed being there to cheer him on!

Yay! They Won!
They are the Southwest Champions and are headed to Maine for the World Series! A wonderful blessing from the Lord!
 A proud mom!
A proud dad!

On Sunday we headed over to Gruene, TX. We ate at the Gristmill resturant with our friends Kate and Isaac and their cute boys! We had a wonderful time visiting and eating with them.

After lunch Todd and I walked around the cute town of Gruene, TX. We enjoyed the antique stores and the fly fishing store. (Todd loves to Fly Fish)
